When? 1st Thursday of each month from October to April

What time? 8pm

The Men’s Fellowship was founded in September 1992 with the aim of promoting Christian Fellowship amongst men of all ages within the congregation of 1st Donaghadee.

The meetings are informal and open with a short devotional time followed by a speaker, a question time and a debate. In true Presbyterian manner they are brought to a close with a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Over the years we have had a wide variety of speakers on many and varied subjects. Missionary and Outreach work, both home and abroad, stories of travel to remote and inaccessible places and journeys to personal faith.

Most meetings are themed around the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and are aimed towards a deepening of the individual’s spiritual life. However, they are fun! And we aim to foster friendship among our members.

One of the main achievements of the Fellowship was the raising of funds through the congregation to provide a motorbike for a pastor working in Uganda as a result of hearing an inspirational talk on the work in that region.

Each session we try to organise a fun outing and these have been very successful in building bridges with men from other congregations in the town. Over the years, we have opened our membership to all of the churches in Donaghadee, as we are the only surviving Men’s Fellowship within the town.

Membership costs £10 per year and this covers the expenses of visiting speakers and our cup of tea. We presently have 18 members with an average attendance of 14, so please come along and you will be sure of a warm welcome.
