Mission Statement

  1. As a congregation within the Presbyterian Church in Ireland we seek always to give Glory to God, the Three-in-One, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We acknowledge His Sovereignty in all things, as the Lord of all creation and as the one who ‘calls us even by our names’ (Isaiah 43:1)

  2. We recognise Jesus Christ as Lord, revealed in his own words as ‘The Way, the Truth and the Life’ (John 14:6), who died for us on the Cross of Calvary and was raised again by the power of God on the third day. As individuals making up a part of His world-wide church, ‘against which the gates of hell shall not prevail’ (Matthew 16:18), we recognise our need to Profess our Faith in Him as our own personal Saviour, and in acknowledging our commitment to Him as we live and worship, we endeavour to exalt the Almighty and actively celebrate His presence among us.

  3. We acknowledge the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the ‘Spirit of Truth’ (John 15:26), ‘the Spirit of wisdom and revelation’ (Ephesians 1:17), His testifying to the Lordship of Christ, and His guiding and equipping of the saints for Christian service.

  4. Through the Teaching ministry of the Word and the Sacraments, we endeavour to equip the disciples of Christ with a deeper understanding of God’s Word as revealed in the Scriptures, together with an increased desire to come before the Throne of God in prayer.

  5. Meeting together as a part of the Body of Christ (Ephesians 1:23), we endeavour to encourage each other in the Faith ‘once and for all entrusted to the saints’ (Jude, verse 3), to grow and mature in our love of God and in the fellowship of His Church.

  6. Concerned to be witnesses to Jesus Christ by both word and lifestyle, we endeavour, through a prayerful and practical response to need both around us in the local community and in the wider world, to show the love of Christ which we ourselves have experienced.

  7. As we share the Good News with all, without regard to Race, Nationality, Culture or perceived Social class, and in the recognition that ‘God shows no favouritism’(Romans 2:11), we endeavour to extend the Kingdom of Jesus Christ our Lord, and pray that others also may come to salvation in Him.
