When? Friday evenings from September to April
What time? 7.45pm - 9.45pm
The age range we cater for are year 8 (1st form) to year 12 (5th form) for all children with an exception being made for congregation children of Primary 7.
We offer various activities:
The most popular with both boys and girls is football which develops team building.
Many of the children have never been on Church premises before coming to Youth Club with their friends. By coming on a Friday evening some of the young people are surprised that being a Christian you can still have fun.
We find that once friendships are made here they continue outside with many of the older children becoming mentors for the younger ones. Indeed when past members are home from University many take time to call in and see their old friend and leaders.
We are eternally grateful to all helpers who freely give of their Friday evenings to make this facility available and to the Reverend Gordon who is always available to run the Coffee Bar and play board games.
This year between ourselves and Youth for Christ, we have witnessed several of our young people giving their lives to God which is very encouraging and gives us the strength to continue with our work.
